LET THIS CUP PASS FROM ME:

Have you ever prayed and prayed and seems God is not listening? Sometimes when we pray we may be praying against God's will or against His plan for us. Even Jesus him self went into a Garden and prayed three times for this cup...( divine appointment....referring to his trial, crucifixion, and beating that was soon approaching )..to pass from HIM. He even ask his disciples to watch for HIM and tarry. When He returned He found them Sleeping. Imagine the pain, disappointment, and loss he felt when He found them sleeping. A need so urgent, a pain so great, yet HE only ask for his friends to tarry and watch and they could not for sleeping.

Now we know this was the will of the Father that the Son give His life for Us. when we need prayer or someone ask you to pray for them, how much praying is done & how much sleeping is done?

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mt 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

This is oh so true the spirit ( the one dwelling inside us is willing ) but the flesh, our own wants and desires is weak. Pray for God to strengthen you and give you wisdom. And when ye pray, pray for HIS will to be done in your life.

Mt 26:42
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Mt 26:43
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Mt 26:44
And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
Mt 26:45
Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

We must ask according to His will, not ours! Our Lord Jesus set that perfect example.

Matthew 26:42 "He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done."
Matthew 6:10 "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Matthew 6:7-8 "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."

So how do we know the Will of God? Through prayer and studying the Word of God! We have to get inside His Word. Know what it says for ourselves. When ye pray remember to pray for HIS will to be done in you life. If your prayer is not being answerd perhaps it is just not the right time, or perhaps God has chosen something different. What ever the reason do keep praying. Ask HIM to show you HIS will. *******Maybe he is only testing your Faith or should I say BUILDING Your faith...................

Sometimes we need to thank HIM for the unanswered prayers as well. The Spirit knows what is best for us. Can you imagine what this world would be like if God answered every prayer that came before HIM. Where would you be? Who would you be with? What would your life really be like if God answered your prayers based only on your wants. Do you give your children EVERYTHING!!!!!! They ask for? A child that gets everything is often spoiled and does not listen or appreciate things. However You do give them what they need and alot of what they want. The same holds true for our Heavenly Father.

We are protected by God's almighty power if we abide with HIM.

Who do we trust today? Man or the word of God? Who do we put our trust in?

This is the Day the LORD has made we WILL rejoice and be glad. Let trouble come what may, the LORD IS our guide.

Many things in our lives are for the perfecting of our souls. Look at the trials, troubles, and tribulations that you are facing and ask.....OK God what would you have me learn from this. Find positive in the midst of your battles. Find what you need in the midst of the storm to survive the next storm that come your way.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way TO ESCAPE, that ye may be able to bear it.

DAVID said ..........The Lord IS MY!!!!! SHepherd, I SHALL NOT!!!! WANT.

Often we forget that the LORD is our Shepherd. A shepherd is one who watches over and protects HIS flock. Keeping the wolf and other prediators away.He feeds them and gives shelter Friend the Lord is our Shepherd We shall not want, if we trust.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.............green pastures are good feeding ground and when HE leads us the waters will be still. He can only lead those that will follow.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake..................When we are hurt, injured or torn HE will restore us. All good things are for HIS sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.........
OH but MY favorite............. YEA though I WALK notice he did not say sit down or stay. or give up but he said WALK Through the valley of the shadow of death.
Friend do you realize in order to have a valley there must be a mountain you've come off of, and one to climb back up. And in order for there to be a shadow there has to be light. So worry not for HE is the Light of your valley, Just keep on walking HE will Lead you out SAFELY.

There will always be trials, temptations, and valleys but HE is our Shepherd and We shall not want. Keep on Keeping on. God know what we have need of even before we ask

What Glory does God get when we get angry and loose our patience. We are to be Christ like, Think twice before we speak once. Ask ourselves what WOULD Jesus do.

Notice in verse 23.......Committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.
How committed are we today? Do we take matters into our own hands or do we pray and seek God for advise, help, or instructions. Beware that the flesh not raise up and cause you problems.

Genesis 1
Ge 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God starting by giving light into a dark and void world.
Lets start by understanding what LIGHT really is..........

LIGHT.....according to ...WEBSTER
1 a : something that makes vision possible
b. something that enlightens or informs
c. a medium (as a window) through which light is admitted
d. a noteworthy person in a particular place or field

This world once was void and dark ; .......
Ge 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

This spirit moved upon the face of the waters!!!!!! wow what a spirit. God did indeed create this world he only SPOKE the words "Let there be light and there was light". Now He spoke this world into existence, created by him and for him.

For by him were ALL THINGS CREATED, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

"Let there be light" is one of the most well-known verses in the Bible, but it was actually proclaimed by God twice -
1....the first time, as quoted in Gen.1:3 , at the beginning of Creation this light gave physical light on the world;
2....the second time when He sent His Son Jesus Christ to give spiritual light to a dark and sinful world.

You know just as there are animals or creatures that do not like light, do not come into the light they are nocturnal by nature. That is to say they come out at night or work only in darkness .Satan hates the light and would destroy it .......IF possible.But we know this has been tried and failed he will never destroy the almighty or his children. However, there are people out there who HATE the light, hate Jesus who will not come into the light and wants nothing to do with those that do...God will give every one a chance . He made a way for us to escape , the choice is up to us..

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Light is bright and powerful. Did you know there are colors that the natural eye cannot see these referred to as ultraviolet light. Some animals, such as bees, can see UV radiation while others, such as pit viper snakes, can see infrared light. Bees work and makes honey ..... Satan see the light also and that is why he see you.
Nu 14:8
If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and HONEY.
The UV light is there we cant't see it but stay in the sun to long and you will feel the effects of it. We can't see Jesus but walk in the light of Him and you will feel HIM. There is a seperation of good and bad .......

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the DARKNESS.

And God called the light Day, and the DARKNESS he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Jesus rules over the day ( the light...those that walk in the light )
Satan rules over the night ( the darkness... those that walk there)

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

For 'let your light so shine' We have to let the Light shine in this world which is growing increasingly darker and darker. A world which seems to be returning to a dark and void state, a world without LIGHT. You can be a bright light. In fact you may be the only light some people ever see, the only BIBLE some people ever read. Be HOly ...

LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Now FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

What is FAITH....Faith according to webster is::
1 a : allegiance to duty or a person : LOYALTY b (1) : fidelity to one's promises (2) : sincerity of intentions2 a (1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2) : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b (1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof (2) : complete trust

I like ( 2) COMPLETE TRUST... We have to trust God in all things, and believe him. The Bible is our.... road map, instructions, direction, guide,hope, promise, It is the Holy Word inspired by God Written by Man for man. This book will leadyou, direct you and give comfort to your soul, only if you trust and Believe. Then we must live and abide by its's orders. God will NEVER lead you astray. He has told us to seek him.

Isa 55:6
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him WHILE HE IS NEAR:

There will come a time that God's drawing power will not be...........

If ever there was a time that we need to draw close to God it is now. For we can look upon the fields and see that they are white already for harvest. God is speaking and if we are not careful we will not hear.

Ye that have ears hear what the spirit is saying.......Behold he is coming,,,,,,,,coming for those who have made themselves ready. Those who have prayed the prayer of repentence, and living according to the word.

Take ye heed, WATCH AND PRAY: for ye know not when the time is.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a THIEF IN THE NIGHT.

Watch the middle east see the signs, and PROPHESY, coming to pass. Look up for our redemption does draw nigh.

God wants a people who will seek HIM, Obey HIM, work for HIM..watch for HIM.. You will never know how much you need GOD until GOD is all you have........What do I mean by this? When there are things in your life totally beyond your control, things that NO ONE, I mean NO ONE else can change, help or do anything about. Situations that seem hopeless then God and only God moves in and says watch me work. For he is ...............

I am ALPHA AND OMEGA, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

He holds the earth and heavens in the palm of HIS hands, he is great God Almighty. None greater than HE. We are his children if we live by the Word.

Seek him today ask HIM for the things you need, for direction, instructions, and for the way. LISTEN>>>>>>>>>>> for his voice, then BELIEVE when you hear.

Matthew 6:7-8 "

EVERY PROMISE OF GOD CARRIES A CONDITION ATTACHED TO IT.

The Word of God tells us in II Chronicles 7:14, IF my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

IF .....meaning a qualifier/stipulation/condition..... God's people will
(1) humble themselves,
(2) pray,
(3) seek the Lord,
(4) turn from their wicked ways
(those 4 things are the condition) THEN (here comes the promise): God will hear them, forgive their sin and heal their land.

What a promise! God gives us all good things.
We must ask according to His will, not ours! Our Lord Jesus set that perfect example.

WE MUST STAY IN THE HOUSE

text: Joshua6:20-25 & Joshua 2:1-21

Jos 2:19
And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

Rahab the Harlot................

Now when the God sent Joshua and the children of Israel across the Jordan river and into the land of Canaan to take possession of the land, the first thing for them to do was destroy the city of Jericho. Jericho was one of the largest, and most prosperous, cities in the land. This city had already been cursed by God destruction planned for it, forty years earlier ...............(Ex. 23:27-28).

The Bible tell us that the children of Israel marched around Jericho, carrying with them the ark of the covenant and making no noise everyday for seven days. On the seventh day, they marched around the city seven times, blowing their trumpets and shouting. When they did, the walls of Jericho fell down to the ground. The whole city was completely destroyed at once, except for one house. One house that was promised to survive if they remained inside..........There was one area of the wall that did not fall, because there was a house there, that was promised not to fall. This is the house I want to talk to you about.

Now Rahab was a Harlot, but God choose to send his spies to her house for protection. It would make one wonder why HE choose this woman knowing her life style. It was because of her lifestyle that HE choose her. She had already heard of his power, parting of the red sea, those slain by HIS hand. She had heard from those who came to her house. Thus we see that it does not matter what or who we are God can and will give every one a chance it is up to us to accept his calling. When Rahab opened the door to those spies little did she know at that moment what she was letting in and little did she know it would bring salvation.
Why was her house left standing, while all the rest of the city were destroyed? Why, when the entire wall surrounding this city collapsed and fell by God’s wrath, was her house left standing?

Rahab’s house was protected by the blood. ( remember the cord in the window )
Rahab believed God Believed in the promise she would be spared.
Rahab had the promise of God that she and her house would be saved.
Rahab stayed in the house. >>>>>>>SHE OBEYED>>>>>>

Rahab was a sinner BY THE WAY SHE LIVED.
The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to save sinners.,

Mt 9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but SINNERS TO REPENTANCE

Rahab was a sinful woman, who was living a sinful life, dwelling in Jericho..a city that was promised to JOSHUA, a city marked for destruction , yet she obtained mercy.
How did Rahab, obtain mercy?..... Rahab and her house were saved because she allowed the spies to come in, hid them from those seeking them , and sent them out another way. This was truly an act of faith. She could have given them up to the officials that were seeking them but she choose not to. She chose to help them in return she and her house was spared.

Joshua 2:10 "For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed."

Rahab had already heard about the power of God before the spied had come, you have heard about the power of God also. Stand on his promises and believe in his word you to will not fall.

Now imagine when the rams horn began to blow and the people began to shout the wall started to shake, people screaming, and all the noise outside.......yet Rahab AND HER FAMILY>>>>> stayed inside that house. It took courage, faith, and a trusting spirit to not go outside.

Today there is alot of nosie, shouting, distractions outside the house of God. Be careful that you do not go outside to see what is going on, there is safety inside the house of GOD. This house will not fall.

There Is Therefore Now No Condemnation To Them Which Are In Christ Jesus,

Ro 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

There IS therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS

Notice here the APOSTLE PAUL was saying "there is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS" ........He did not say there would never be accusation..men will condemn, accuse, slander, say all sorts of things against you. Let not your hearsts be troubled, for these are merely men. Only fear what God has to say about you. Let HIM lead and guide you.....

WHAT IS A GUIDE>>>>>>
A Guide is very necessary for strangers in a wilderness where there are many ways and turnings, to guide on a way especially by going in advance
to direct on a course or in a direction . Once the Holy Spirit has shown us what God's Word says, He assists us in applying what we've learned. The Spirit lives within us, speaks to our hearts and minds, convicts us, and produces His fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23). The spirit guides us by tugging at our hearst to obey GOD.

Ro 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Ro 8:15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

do know that according to webster that adoption means ::
v-15-- Adoption-
1 : to take by choice into a relationship
ADOPT implies accepting something created by another or foreign to one's nature

This passage speaks about our relationship with God. The key word is "adoption": WE ARE"the sons of God" and "the children of God" because we have been adopted. wE HAVE BEEN BOUGHT WITH A PRICE........THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Adoption merely speaks of love, mercy, and grace.Not of a situatuin where someone was not wanted, but where someone WAS wanted. It is a legal action whereby a person is brought into a family. When a person is adopted, he is given all the privileges that the other members of the family possess. We are a privileged people, ............................
Ro 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

WOW...............then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; we NOW
have that right. So when paul said...........There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. NOW meaning .......Christ came, was accused, hung on a cross and died for you and me, shedding his blood so we would not be condemned.

so just remember we are adopted into God's family, given a new family, one that wants, loves and cares for us. and .......................There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

Be Ye Therefore Wise As Serpents And Harmless As Doves

Mt 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore WISE AS SERPENTS, and harmless as doves.

It has been long believed that Because a snake sheds its skin and comes forth from the lifeless husk glistening and fresh, it is a universal symbol of "renewal", and the regeneration that may lead to immortality. A serpent takes its's time never rushing, stays warm at night by seeking warm surfaces, stays cool in the day by moving to shadows, underbrush or other places well hidden. Therefore often times never seen in the day time but comes out in the night time. A serpent is quite and moves ever so gently often never seen but felt, many times it is deadly.............. But Hear what Jesus Had to say.......

Joh 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

so only Jesus can give immortality, can give life everlasting. We are to be wise like the serpent in the fact we need to take notice of our surroundings, always moving with grace and genteleness. Pay attention to what is going on around you watch for the traps that he may lay for you, because Satan, he is our enemy, and we do not want to be ignorant of him or his devices. according to the scripture in 2nd Corinthians 11:2

As we are sent out daily as sheep among the wolves always remember The Lord Is OUR Shepherd WE shall NOT want. Where He sends us we walk not alone. We may only walk alone in places we are not sent, when we choose a different route or way. For where the master sends you He to goes with you.

Therefore go be wise and observant, We don't want to fall prey to the subtle deceptions of Satan today. Remember it's his job to KILL, STEAL AND DESTROY................So why we are busy working, playing, or sleeping he is devising new ways to slip up on you. Satan is our adversary. He is our opponent. Recognize what is going on and don't fall prey to his traps. When someone says something that hurts you,or makes you angry.. Recognize who is the true speaker here really is. Be wise listen carefully, then you will hear the speaker. Think twice before you speak once.....................................

YOU HAVE TO BE READY WAITING FOR YOUR BOARDING CALL THEN YOU MUST GO. IF WE LEAVE FOR ANYTHING WE ARE LEFT BEHIND. THE FLIGHT WILL BE GONE YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND WATCHING.. KEEP PRAYING AND WATCHING FOR OUR SAVIOR MAY VERY WELL BE ON HIS WAY. I HEARD PASTOR JOHN HAGEE SAY IF WE COULD CLOSE OUR EYES AND LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS IN HEAVEN WE COULD PROBALLY HEAR THE SHUFFLING OF THE FOOTSTEPS OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR MOUNTING UP AND MOVING CLOSER TO THE DOOR.. CAN YOU FEEL IT DO YOU KNOW HOW CLOSE WE ARE. KEEP LISTENING AND WATCHING,FOR THE NEXT SOUND YOU HEAR COULD BE THE TRUMPET

Why is it in today's society that we are a generation that seek a sign before we can believe?
Let me ask you a question and really ponder and think upon this then ask your self why is it that you have such a hard time believing.

I am thinking of one of our late presidents, he was one who wore a tall hat
( see already you know who I am talking about right)
He did good deeds helping many in fact the very last bill he signed before his assassination was the one which allowed IN GOD WE TRUST to be added to the coin. This man was killed because he did good

Now ask your self do I believe in Abraham Lincoln? Then ask Why?..........perhaps because we have been taught that this was a great man one of honor be cause history has taught us this right. The HISTORY BOOK says it's so.

Why is it then we can believe thisbook ( written by man ) and believe every word of it. Believe on this man that we ourselves have only heard about, never touched,talked to, nor ever seen only heard about. History says it's so......So therefore it must be so.

Now let me tell you about another man who went about doing good always helping others he to made laws and was killed.......He is my brother, friend and savior.HE is Jesus Christ the living son of my Father, God Almighty.

Why do we have such a hard time believing on the WORD OF GOD............is it because it was a book written
(by man) is it because we have never seen him, touched him, or heard him speak.................................SAD, SAD, SAD, that we can believe one book written by man about another man ,but cannot believe in one book written by man BUT INSPIRED BY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! about one man who gave his life for you and me!!! He left many promises to us. One promise is that he coming back for he said...............

Friend I have seen him in many ways look at our world, look beyond the billboards, the streets, the people. Look for him see him for your self.
