Don't Give Up The Battle!!

On The Brink of Blessings, and Not Even Knowing It!.....

I Samuel 30:1 - 4

And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;

And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.

So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.

Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

This chapter begins with David and his 600 men returning to  Ziklag from Aphek, a 3 day journey, or approx... 70 miles. Instead of finding rest in their homes and joy with their families as they expected, they found their hometown burned, and their wives and children taken captive! They had been rejected by those they had joined, had avoided Saul who sought to kill them, only to return home and find everything they ha was now all gone. They were so HURT by what they found that these warriors wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. Cried until they could cry no more.

At this point in time they were already EXHAUSTED from their three day journey. Now they were HEARTBROKEN because everyone and everything they loved and valued was gone. After they had cried until they could cry no more they became angry. Their ANGER was then directed toward David, the very one who had led them through many difficult situations. David's faithful followers spoke of stoning him for this! (Put yourself in David’s place. Try to imagine his exhaustion, grief, regret and anxiety he must have experienced. He had lost as much as anyone else and more. Now those he had been leading, those he had fought along side, those he thought to be his Friends, have now turned on him .

Who did David have to turn to for support? Who was left for David to lean on? WHO encouraged David to continue on? David encouraged David! He chose to continue for the sake of all who would be affected if he quit! If David had quit would he have recovered. He knew his source of strength was Almighty God.

1sa 30:6And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

Severe Testing comes on the Brink of Blessing

Keep in mind that David,, had already been anointed king of Israel (1 Sam. 16:1-13). He had been fleeing from Saul, who desired to kill him! His lifestyle had been anything but pleasurable for sometime now, hiding in caves from the jealous Saul, experiencing hunger, faced with difficult decisions, David had not had an easy journey at this point. . This would prove to be  the LAST test for David before he took the office as king. (His last test was the most severe.) He was on the brink of blessings, and he didn’t even know it!

After this, David inquired of the LORD regarding direction. He sought the Lord for direction. He turned to the one who would never leave him, nor deceive him. He then took his 600 men and went after the Amalekites. He quickly lost 200 men, because they were too exhausted to cross the brook Besor they gave up.
After that brook was crossed, David in the lead with his  400 men , tired and exhausted they journeyed on. Because One man sought the LORD’S strength and direction.
David and his men did in fact fight the Amalekites from dusk until the evening of the next day. ....Think about this they were tired, they were exhausted from a battle they had fought before arriving to this battle the battle of depression, heartache, battle of hopelessness.(Victory was in store for David, but he had to fight hard and long to get it even though he was already exhausted, tired and and at one point discouraged!) They recovered everything. Nothing was lost. David brought everything back (1 Sam. 30:19).
Try to imagine how happy  David's two wives, were at this point!  Imagine how happy they all were that David and the 400 men endured -- that they didn't quit -- that they didn't leave them abandoned without hope of escape, that they chose do rise up and do something when it seemed all hope was gone! Now try to imagine how thankful and glad David and his men were when it was all over. They were now reunited once again with their families and had recovered their own goods. The battle was over, they had endured. Ask David was it worth it David? Was it worth ENDURING the many hardships that came your way? He would answer you "IT WAS WORTH EVERY STEP OF THE BATTLE "...We Must Endure not only for our our soul, but for the Sake of Souls that are being held captive by the strong hold of Satan.
One Person with One Decision Can Turn Things Around
All this began with just one person, at a crucial time, deciding to encourage himself in the LORD, instead of giving up. Things turned for David and his men based upon that single decision!
To be victorious, there will be times when, you're going to have to encourage yourself in the Lord. Victory and blessings followed David's choice. The choices we make will echo throughout eternity.
David was God’s chosen and ANOINTED to lead all of Israel, yet he faced great disappointments, heartaches and problems, over an extended time. The greatest battle came right before he would rise to become the King. The greatest battle may come right on the brink on your greatest blessing. Remember the greater the battle the sweeter the victory. Earlier in David's life, his faith was great enough to slay that mighty Philistine champion , Goliath, but now deliverance was nowhere in sight! As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we too must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God. Friend don't give the battle for you shall surely ........reap, if you faint not.

Galatians 6:9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Friend may you find, peace, hope and love. May You Allow Jesus to dwell richly in you!
                                                             HIS Friend and yours

The Devil As A roaring Lion

1peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The scripture teaches us our adversary the devil is AS a roaring lion...........have you given thought to this?

What is the purpose of the roar from a lion.
What does this sound do?

He stalks quietly and patiently then he will announce himself with the sound of his roar. He seeks to instill fear into you to paralyze you, to cripple your walk. His roar will cause you to flee or stand still afraid to move. This allows him to set the battle in place if we run he chases until we are overcome with weariness and give in to exhaustion. If we panic and do nothing he devours us. His roar lets him know how to fight the battle depending on our response.

When The Devil Roars
When the devil roars he is seeking to establish his dominion in your life. He seeks to cause you to identify with his authority, submit to his rule, cower at his warnings, and thus this brings him satisfaction.

When we are feeling great despair,or overwhelming fear we can become very immobilized. But that is exactly what the enemy wants. He wants to take us off the working field so we cannot do the work of the Lord. As children of God, we must armor ourselves with the Word of God each and every day. When we read the His word daily, we are strengthened and a whole new world of hope and opportunity is opened up to us.

Remember this a ROARING lion cannot slip upon you, you hear his voice. He is setting his battle in array, thus this is the time to use our weapon against him.........The only weapon we have is the the pure undefiled word of GOD. Stand your ground and fight the good fight of faith lay hold on eternal life.

Joh 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.
Friend, before Christ can ever increase in our lives we must first decrease. What is meant is that we must put off the old self and put on the new, put on robes of righteousness.
Lay aside anything that will hinder the works of the spirit. In today's world pride has become such an enormous garment. Everywhere you look it is all about me or all about my rights or all about getting what I want. Quickly forgetting it is not about us but about Jesus Christ and the will of His father.

Mr 7:20
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Mr 7:21
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Mr 7:22
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Mr 7:23
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
when John Baptist was here He went about as the voice of one crying in the wilderness, not as John, He sought no recognition for Himself but rather sought to lift up Jesus. Bring attention to Christ turn others to Jesus.
We also must be that voice in this weary wilderness that we live in, Put aside pride and pick up your cross and follow after Christ and increase HIS works. Far before Christ could increase in HIS time John the Baptist had to decrease. Today before Christ can increase in our lives we must get self out of the way. Be that HOLY temple that allows the works of the spirit to go forth.
We must never forget that this is only a temporary dwelling place, this is not home. This is only a place where we must decrease so Jesus can increase, be that voice crying in the wilderness make straight His ways. When all is said and done who will ever remember all you trophies, all your awards, all your fame. At the time these are all received it is a very proud moment, but as time goes on the trophies gather dust, the drawers are full of awards, some you remember receiving and others you don't even know what they were for. All that will ever matter is have we done enough for HIM. It is not about us but about the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. FOR WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
So today if you knew tomorrow would never come, this would be that last sunrise that you would ever see, the last time you would ever see another day here on this earth. Would it really matter that you are always right, would it really matter that you won every time, would it even matter that you achieved more than you neighbors....... In the end nothing belongs to us except the master we serve. So friend choose today to be that voice for HIM, cry out make straight HIS ways. Far to long Sin has abound in this world and has grown braver and braver with no shame. Why because the voice is dying, who is crying out in this wilderness, but those who say it is my right to live this way.

Ro 6:23
For the WAGES OF SIN is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is a price for the life you live, wages are given for the work done, there is a payday coming whether it be good or evil all must appear before the JUDGMENT seat of Christ but only the pure in heart shall see GOD.
Blessing of the day
May you receive boldness to speak out against sin,may you be that voice that leads others to CHRIST. May you be filled with wisdom that only comes from God, and the knowledge to use it.
His friend and yours..........May God richly bless you today!

Be Of Good Cheer; It Is I; Be Not Afraid.

Mt 14:23
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Mt 14:24
But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
Mt 14:25

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went
unto them, walking on the sea.
Mt 14:26

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
Mt 14:27

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Mt 14:28

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
Mt 14:29

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
This was a time when a storm was raging, it looked like all would be lost. Jesus disciples out on the raging sea, while HE was apart, alone. While the storm was raging Jesus was praying. HIs disciples know doubt thought, "Where in the world is HE when we need HIM the most." I would imagine a time alot like today, with all the troubles in this world, the stock markets crashing, nation against nation, violence on an all time high. Sometimes on may question where are you LORD?
But notice in verse :25
And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
He did not leave them there to die, although it seemed hopeless, fearful, an troublesome, there was an appointed time of arrival. Just as there is today, all is not lost, HE is meerly watching from a distant shore, waiting on the time to come walking on the water for us.
The troubles for those disciples that night, was nothing for our LORD and saviour. Their trouble was only stepping stones for HIM to walk on. { completely under HIS feet }
There will never be a storm to large for HIM, troubles to big that HE cannot solve them. What seems impossible with man is POSSIBLE with GOD!!!!!!!!!!
Today HE is still saying be of good cheer it is I be not afraid.
Don't look at the storm that is surrounding you, look to the one that controls the storm, in HIM you will find comfort and peace.
Peter questioned, and said LORD if it be thou bid ME to come unto thee on the water. Jesus answered and said COME.
Peter got off the boat making his journey toward the Lord when he became frightened of the storm and began to sink. Fear caused Peter to begin to sink, friend be of good courage,........

2ti 1:7
For God hath not given us the SPIRIT OF FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fear will cause you to sink.........
Mt 14:30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Mt 14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

The key words here beginning to sink, he cried, saying Lord save me, and Immediately Jesus stretched forth HIS hand and caught him.

Yes Peter began to sink, but he cried out when he realized he was going down, you don't need to wait until your head is under, cry out now, cry out when you feel your self sinking, the end result,is HE will hear. For HE has no respect of person and will stretch forth HIS hand for you.

There will never be a mountain to high, nor a valley to low that you cannot overcome with the help of the LORD!!!!

Eph 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

As bad as times may seem, as hopeless as situations may be, there is an appointed time he will come, we just have to keep watching and looking and one day we to shall see HIS appearing.

so just remember

Joh 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Blessing of the day
May your eyes be fixed on HIM, may you have ears to hear with, and eyes to see with, and a heart to recieve it. May you find strength to endure, and courage to keep pressing forward.

His friend and yours

The Lamb that Became the Lion

He Prevailed to open the book, and loose the seven seals.

Re 5:5
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

He prevailed.........He did what no other man could do, HE overcame.
Friend many times in life we feel we cannot go on, many times the Journey becomes so hard. There is a promise left us, that says I"ll go with you always even unto the end of the world. He never promised it would be easy, but HE did offer support, HE never promised that there would never be battles, HE tells us to fight the good fight of faith.

How do we do this Ephesians 6 tells us to put on the WHOLE armor of God. We must put each piece of armor on being careful not to leave off anything. We must over come if we are to inherit the Kingdom of God!

Re 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also OVERCAME, and am set down with my Father in his throne

So friend keep on pressing onward, don't become bogged down with worry and grief for in a moment in the twinkling of an eye things will change, and it will all be over. Endure until the end for only those who endure ( the pure in heart ) Shall See God.

" Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Matthew 25:13
Blessing of the Day
--I pray that you find shelter in the arms that are strong enough to hold you, that you find peace in HIM that only can give peace. May you feel the LOVE of Jesus that is so so real, may you find strength that only comes to those that believe

Take ye away the stone

John 11:39 ------- Take ye away the stone.

When Jesus Christ wanted to raise Lazarus from the dead to fulfill the Will of the Father, first something had to be done. The stone had to be rolled away.

The stone being rolled away represents a breakthrough. It represents a door being opened so someone can walk through. It represents a stronghold being torn down.

AFTER they did what Jesus told them to do, AFTER they obeyed. After they listened and heard what Jesus said. AFTER they performed A WORK at the commandment of God. Their brother was raised from the dead.

So After we roll away the stones in our lives He will work, that is why WE have to do works.

Jas 2:20
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD?

Heb 11:6
But WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE him: for he that cometh TO GOD must believe that he IS, and that he IS a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Friends do all that you can do then HE will do what you can't do.

BLESSING OF THE DAY

may you continue to push against the stones in your life that keep Jesus out. May you find strength to move mountains. May you BELIEVE that all things are possible.
